Summary of the Operations Manager role:
Our client is seeking an Operations Manager to lead their Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) operations. The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance, and management of facilities services, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and efficiency. In this role, the Operations Manager will coordinate teams, manage vendor relationships, and implement industry best practices while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as contractual obligations.
Operations Manager Deliverables / Outcomes (include but are not limited to):
Operational Management:
Drive operational excellence across all Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) service lines, with a focus on Technical/Hard FM services.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Monitor and optimise energy consumption and sustainability initiatives.
Team Leadership & Management:
Lead the way by motivating and developing a high-performing team.
Build and maintain strong client engagement, ensuring consistent compliance and satisfaction.
Conduct performance evaluations, training, and professional development programs for the team.
Ensure adequate staffing and scheduling to meet service demands.
Vendor & Contract Management:
Manage relationships with external service providers, contractors, and suppliers.
Negotiate and oversee contracts, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
Monitor vendor performance and address any issues promptly.
Budgeting & Cost Control:
Maximise financial performance and proactively identify and implement opportunities for growth and innovation.
Identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining service quality.
Track expenses and report on financial performance.
Maintenance & Asset Management:
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
Ensure facilities and equipment are maintained in optimal condition.
Implement asset management strategies to extend the lifecycle of facility resources.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to minimise hazards.
Maintain accurate records for audits, inspections, and reporting purposes.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding facilities services.
Respond to and resolve service requests and complaints in a timely manner.
Collaborate with other departments to align facilities operations with business needs.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications Needed:
Proven experience managing a large, multi-service site.
Relevant qualifications in Facilities Management or Engineering Services.
Demonstrated technical skills, with knowledge of engineering compliance and engineering standards best practice.
Strong commercial acumen with experience handling P&L accounts.
A proactive and client satisfaction-oriented mindset.
The ability to innovate and drive change.
Location: Naas, on-site
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Permanent
Salary: EUR 75,000 - EUR 80,000 per annum (depending on experience)
