Summary of the Engineering Support role:

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Engineering Support professional to join their Facilities Management (FM) team within the retail banking sector. The role focuses on supporting engineering audits across a nationwide branch network, ensuring building services and engineering systems meet regulatory, safety, and operational standards. Key responsibilities include maintaining engineering compliance, assisting with documentation review, coordinating with service providers, and supporting audit readiness across a geographically dispersed portfolio.

Engineering Support Deliverables / Outcomes (include but are not limited to):

  • Support engineering audits preparation across retail branches and office locations, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations.

  • Review and validate planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules, service reports, and statutory inspection records (e.g., fire safety, HVAC, electrical systems).

  • Assist in identifying compliance gaps and tracking corrective actions to closure.

  • Liaise with FM providers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to gather audit evidence and support audit queries.

  • Maintain accurate records of engineering documentation and audit findings using CAFM or asset management tools.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering compliance processes and reporting standards across the retail estate.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Technical background in engineering, building services, or facilities management.

  • Understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements relevant to retail environments (e.g., SFG20, H&S regulations).

  • Experience working with building systems such as HVAC, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and electrical distribution.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and CAFM systems (e.g., Planon, Concept, or similar).

Location: Working from Home

Travel: Occasional travel to client meetings. Applicants must hold a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: 6 - 9 months

Day Rate: Competitive day rate
