Summary of the Procurement Manager role:

Our client is seeking is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to manage the daily operations of a key account. The role will encompass a broad range of responsibilities including strategic supplier engagement, tender management, cost optimisation initiatives, and coordination of supplier performance reviews. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring procurement processes are efficient, value-driven, and aligned with client expectations.

Procurement Manager Deliverables / Outcomes (include but are not limited to):

  • Supplier Engagement: Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring timely communication, alignment with client needs, and enhanced supplier responsiveness.

  • Supplier Tender Management: Lead end-to-end tender processes—preparing documentation, managing timelines, evaluating submissions, and facilitating stakeholder reviews and approvals.

  • Cost-Saving Initiatives: Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities across procurement categories through analysis, negotiation, and benchmarking.

  • Supplier Performance Meetings: Coordinate and lead structured supplier review meetings, track KPIs, escalate issues, and support continuous improvement plans.

  • Contract Oversight: Ensure contracts are up-to-date, compliant, and reflective of agreed commercial terms; collaborate with legal teams where necessary.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Develop and deliver procurement reports and dashboards, offering insights on spend, savings, risk, and supplier performance metrics.

  • Client Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise regularly with client-side teams to align procurement strategy with broader business goals and ensure seamless service delivery.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Procurement background, preferably within Facilities Management or a related operational environment.

  • Mobilisation experience (preferred, not essential), ideally gained during project rollout or service transitions.

  • Proven team management capabilities with experience leading cross-functional or supplier-facing teams.

  • Strong supplier management skills, including negotiation, performance oversight, and relationship building.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across internal and external teams.

  • Proficient in procurement systems, reporting tools, and MS Office applications.

  • Strong analytical ability with a solutions-driven mindset.

  • Understanding of procurement compliance and best-practice frameworks.

Location: Working from Home

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: 12 - 18 months

Day Rate: Competitive day rate
