Summary of the Facilities Management Graduate Trainee role:
We are seeking a Facilities Management Graduate Trainee to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be based at one of our major client sites, allowing the postholder to experience Facilities Management (FM) within a regulated R&D environment (including laboratories). There will also be the opportunity for a range of FM placements across the UK, working with different stakeholders (including project management teams, specialists in safety and compliance, FM providers, and client stakeholders) and networking across multiple business units. The Facilities Management Graduate Trainee will be given training, a bespoke personal development plan and a fully funded 2-year IWFM qualification. Facilities Management Graduate Trainee Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Working with Project Managers, covering key areas such as asset tagging, health and safety in a regulated environment, change management and continuous improvement.
Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM), including data entry, information analysis and reporting and process optimisation.
Helpdesk support (via CAFM system), including responding to incoming jobs and allocation of priority and resources in line with Service Level Agreements, client liaison and updates.
Client and team meeting coordination, information management and reporting (using Power BI) and feedback gathering and response management.
Carrying out service audits in consultation with the Technical Compliance Manager and FM provider, primarily on soft services such cleaning, security, grounds maintenance, and using audit outcomes to inform progress reports and action delegation.
Performance analysis, recommendations and report generation.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
A degree (or equivalent), 2:2 and above preferred; ideally in business or a technical subject.
Strong Technology and IT literacy.
Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written communication.
Strong project management skills.
Demonstrable innovative thinking to support process optimisation.
Able to work well across multiple teams and stakeholder groups.
Strong organisational skills.
Health and safety awareness.
Able to adapt to a controlled environment with stringent safety and quality requirements.

Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Permanent (part-time applicants will be considered - minimum 24 hrs per week)
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
