Summary of the Business Unit Director role:
We are seeking an entrepreneurial, senior-level Business Unit Director responsible for overseeing client relationships, managing teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of interim management and consulting services within Facilities Management (FM). This role requires strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to drive business growth while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
Business Unit Director Deliverables / Outcomes (include but are not limited to):
Client Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients.
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
Understand clients’ business goals, challenges, and needs to provide tailored solutions.
Account Strategy and Planning:
Develop strategic relationship plans to achieve client objectives.
Identify opportunities for growth within existing relationships and new business.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement effective marketing, advertising, or business strategies.
Project Management:
Oversee the execution of client projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Coordinate with internal teams, including creative, digital, and production, to ensure seamless project execution.
Monitor project progress and address any issues or obstacles that arise.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and manage Business Unit (BU) delivery teams.
Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
Provide regular feedback and conduct performance evaluations.
Financial Management:
Manage BU budgets and financials.
Ensure profitability of BU by controlling costs and optimising resource allocation.
Prepare financial reports and forecasts to share with key stakeholders.
Client Presentations & Reporting:
Prepare and deliver compelling client presentations and reports.
Provide clients with regular updates on project status, performance metrics, and ROI.
Gather and analyse client feedback to improve service delivery.
Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and potential clients.
Prepare and present proposals and pitches to prospective clients.
Collaborate with the business development team to support overall company growth.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (a Master’s degree is a plus).
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in FM account management, client services, or related roles in marketing, advertising, or consulting industries. Proven experience in a leadership role is essential.

Salary: £20,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
